- TMP Custom Sealant Bentonite is high-swelling sodium bentonite of exceptional purity and is not treated with polymers. Mined and processed in southeastern Oregon, it offers superior performance for use as a soil sealant. It forms impermeable barriers for sanitary landfills, hazardous waste sites, sewage lagoons, wetlands, and other facilities.
- Application rates primarily depend on the on-site soil and target hydraulic conductivity (permeability.) One or more permeameter and/or barrel tests using the on-site soil provide the best method of determining the correct TMP Custom Sealant to soil mix. Proper mixing and compaction are essential for a good seal. Pre-hydration is necessary if the facility will hold fluids other than clean water.
