- Tents are temporary structures that can provide protection from moderate weather but are not designed to serve as shelters in severe conditions.
- It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure guests safety, develop emergency evacuation plan and designate a point person.
- Point person should have an evacuation location, make a preliminary announcement about a possible evacuation, have back up method of communications, monitor the weather.
- Point person should also monitor the tent structure after the installation and contact EOR&S if he/she has any concerns. Various conditions (e.g. rain, vehicle hitting poles, etc) may alter the installation, which in turn may affect the tent’s stability.
